Timing Belt Kits
The timing belt does more than control the camshafts in your engine; it also drives a water pumps that help keep your engine cool. Timing belt driven water pumps should be replaced at the same time as your timing belt for two reasons. One, timing belt repairs are often complex and involve removing several parts to get access to the belt; it saves time to go ahead and replace the water pumps while these parts are removed. Two, the pumps and the timing belts generally have similar expected lifetimes, so that even if a pump has not failed, it may be approaching failure by the time you replace a timing belt. Purchasing a timing belt component kit means that you get the timing belt, pulleys, tensioners, and water pumps you need to completely replace your timing belt system.
